Brief Introduction
If the dc generator's brush spark is too large, reasons may be: 1) the loose or displacement of brush holder; 2) poor contact between brush and commutator; 3) uneven, chamfer and burrs on surface of commutator; 4) disordering between armature wire lead and commutator bar; 5) short circuit phenomenon of commutating pole winding; 6) commutating pole winding outgoing line connects reversely; 7) loud vibration; 8) aspheric commutator bar or extrude mica plate. Relevant solutions are: 1) fasten the screws and re-adjust after alignment; 2) grinding the brush and make the contact surface larger than 75%; 3) handle with well and clean well; 4) re-soldering; 5) checking and maintaining; 6) adjust the wiring; 7) checking the reasons and exclude vibration; 8) re-turning and undercutting mica plate.
If the motor rotate speed is not steady, maybe the brush is not on centerline, the rotation speed is too high, or the rotation speed is too low and the rotation speed is not steady. In this circumstance, users should adjust the brush holder to original mark area, adjust the load in accordance with the specific condition.
