High Speed Small DC Motor

Brief Introduction

The commutator of this series high speed small dc motor should be in good condition before leaving factory. The amaranth hard film produced on motor surface can decrease the wearing of commutator during motor running period; the mentioned film shall not be removed.

If weak spark burning mark appeared on the surface of commutator, No. "00" crocus cloth can be used to smoothly grind the mark on rotated commutator and the commutator spark should be operated under grade 1 1/2.

If there are phenomenon of coarse and uneven, non-round shape and partial bump on surface of commutator, dismantle the armature firstly and wrap the end side of armature winding and strip terminal with cloth to avoid dropping of copper scale. The turning speed should be no larger than 1.5m/s and the cutting deepness of amount of feed should be no larger than 0.2. The roughness of the surface of commutator should no less than Ra0.8 after turning. If there are parallel or bulge between mica plate and commutator bar after cutting, the mica plate undercut to 1～1.5 and then chamfering the two sides of commutator to 0.2～0.5×45°. Please remove the copper scale and burrs inside the mica slot and blow the whole armature clean last.
