The adopted detergent solution should be a neutral one of 3% to 5%, with a PH value not exceed 9, then rinse the motor for 10 minutes at 60℃ to 80℃. After draining the cleaning solution, rinse with clean water at 50℃ to 70℃ for 4 to 5 minutes to remove any residual detergent from the motor's insulation surface. For any dirt that can not be removed with the cleaning agent should be cleaned manually by using brushes, soft cloths, or bamboo sticks. After cleaning, the surface should reveal the original color of the insulation and coating.
Lifting the cleaned stator and rotor to the drying oven. The temperature should be gradually increased by 30℃ per hour. When the temperature reaches 60℃, it should be maintained for 2 to 4 hours to ensure the moisture inside and outside the motor is evaporated thoroughly. Then, increase the temperature to 130℃ to 145℃ and keep 8 to 10 hours. For 3 phase slip ring motor winding with insulation degradation and weak points, a second impregnation and drying should be conducted after the initial drying.
