The installation type of this series DC motor used in rolling mills conforms to GB/T997 and IEC34-7 Motor Structure and Installation type Code.
The protection grade of this series of motors is according to GB/T4942.1 and IEC34-5 Motor shell protection classification standards, and the shell protection grade is IP23 and IP44.
In accordance with GB/T1993 and IEC34-6 Motor Cooling Method,There are four types of cooling method for this series of motor, users should negotiated with the manufacture if other protection levels and cooling methods needed. The standard type of cooling air inlet of this series of motor is at the drive end of the motor (non-commutator end).
1) IC06, external ventilation with blower (protection class IP23);
2) The IC17 cooling air inlet is a pipe, and the outlet is a louver exhaust (protection level is IP23);
3) The IC37 cooling air inlet and outlet are pipes (protection class is IP44);
4) ICW37A86 fully enclosed with air/water cooler (Protection class IP44).
Viewing from the transmission end (non-shaft extension end), the motor outlet box is on the right side of the frame (the positive box). If the reverse box is adopted according to the requirement of users, it should be indicated.
