The insulation resistance of the brush to the base should be much larger than the insulation resistance of the armature winding.When the brush device is full of carbon powder, dust or grease, it should be scrubbed with gasoline or anhydrous alcohol in time.If the insulation of the brush rod is damaged, the insulation should be replaced.If there are traces of charred charcoal, it should be scraped off.

The brush is a wearing part and needs to be replaced frequently.The correct replacement of the brush plays an important role in extending the service life of the motor.Usually, when the brush is worn to only 1/3 of the height, the brush should be replaced.Each time the brush is replaced, all the brushes on the motor should be replaced at the same time, and the replaced brushes must be of the same model.If the models are different, the load distribution of the brushes will be uneven, and the brushes with increased sparks will wear out quickly and will seriously damage the commutator.If for some reason, all the brushes cannot be replaced at once, at least 20% of the brushes must be replaced each time, and the time interval for each replacement is 1~2 weeks.
