Brief Introduction

This series of high voltage 3 phase induction squirrel cage motor is applied in all kinds of different machineries, such as air ventilators, compressors, water pumps, crushers, cutting machines and other equipment, and it can be also regarded as prime motor among coal mine, machinery industry, power plant and other kinds of industries and mining enterprises.

YKS series motor shall be checked according to the following procedures after they are installed and before they are officially put into use. Confirm all the temporary supports (such as bearing protector) have been removed and check motor, starter and control connection part as per wiring schematic diagram. Check whether the voltage, phase position and frequency of power supply system conform to the ratings on nameplate of motor and conform all earthing, overload and overcurrent protective and monitoring devices have been set according to operating requirements of motor and operate normally.

For motors with differential protection current transformer, the secondary side of current transformer shall be connected to special control equipment or connected in the form of short circuit; it's forbidden to start the motors under the condition of secondary open circuit of current transformer so as to prevent high voltage damaging human body and equipment.

If possible, disconnect motor and driven equipment and rotate the shaft to ensure flexible rotation. The above processes can be completed during installation; repeated inspection is unnecessary if there is no change after the installation. To check whether the rotation direction of motor is consistent with the direction sign through trial starting.

There shall be enough time to conform if there is abnormal conditions for motor under the condition of no-load operation if the motor is not connected with driven equipment. Monitor noise, vibration, crash and abnormal sound as well as oil ring rotation condition. If there is any abnormal condition, shut down the unit immediately and study the reason for the abnormal condition and deal with it.
