3 Phase DC Induction Motor

Brief Introduction

Before the maintenance of Z2 3 phase dc induction motor, the power supply between motor and all accessories should be cut off; it is advised to dismantle the power line and confirm the motor stop totally.

Analysis should be done before dismantling of motor, if it is whole dismantling or partial dismantling. It supposed to dismantle the parts with faults; the whole dismantling processes are as follows:

1. remove external wirings between motor and all parts.

2. dismantle all external accessories of motor.

3. dismantle coupling (or belt pulley) and bolts of motor supports.

4. dismantle the end shield plate of commutator, rise up all brush and clip the brush inside of brush box in dint of press finger, dismantle all internal wirings, make marks and dismantle the bearing external cover and commutator end shield (together with brush holder and brush, etc.).

5. dismantle the driving end shield and frame connection bolts, stretch out carefully the bearing cover armature from stator.

6. place the end shield connected armature on wooden support and place the armature with plastic cloth. If bearing should be replaced, remove screws of bearing cover; take down the bearing external cover, end shield, and bearing with special tool. Replace as per the above requirements.
